Members' Observations - M42

M42 nebula photo
John Noble photographed M42 through an LX10 Schmidt Cassegrain telescope from Cowley in Oxford. He used Provia 1600 film, pushed to 3200 ASA, and an exposure of 15 minutes at f/10.

M42 is the Great Nebula in Orion. An area of star formation, it is visible to the naked eye and is a spectacular sight in binoculars and small telescopes.
