| John Noble photographed M42 through an LX10 Schmidt Cassegrain telescope from Cowley in Oxford. He used Provia 1600 film, pushed to 3200 ASA, and an exposure of 15 minutes at f/10. |
M42 is the Great Nebula in Orion. An area of star formation, it is visible to the naked eye and is a spectacular sight in binoculars and small telescopes.
