Members' Observations - M31

M31 spiral galaxy (photo)
John Noble photographed M31 using a Meade LX10 telescope at f/6.3 and prime focus. He used Provia 1600 slide film, pushed one stop to 3200 ASA, and a 40 minute exposure.

M31 is commonly known as the Andromeda galaxy or the Great Spiral. This galaxy, in Andromeda, is often described as the most distant naked eye object.
