Members' Observations - M57

M57 planetary nebula CCD image
Paul McGale imaged M57 with a Meade 2080 f/10 8 inch Schmidt Cassegrain telescope and an MX516 CCD camera on 3 September 2000. An f/6.3 focal compressor was used and the false colour image was constructed from eight 15 second exposures.

M57 is commonly known as the Ring Nebula and is to be found in Lyra.
