| Paul McGale imaged M57 with a Meade 2080 f/10 8 inch Schmidt Cassegrain telescope and an MX516 CCD camera on 3 September 2000. An f/6.3 focal compressor was used and the false colour image was constructed from eight 15 second exposures. |
M57 is commonly known as the Ring Nebula and is to be found in Lyra.
