Members' Observations - M31

M31, spiral galaxy CCD image
Paul McGale imaged M31with a 100 mm lens and an MX516 CCD camera on 30 August 2000. The false colour image was constructed from five 2 minute exposures.

M31 is commonly known as the Andromeda galaxy or the Great Spiral. This galaxy, in Andromeda, is often described as the most distant naked eye object.
