Members' Observations - M17

M17 nebula photo
John Noble photographed M17 through an LX10 Schmidt Cassegrain telescope from Compton near the Oxfordshire/ Berkshire border. He used Provia 1600 film, pushed to 3200 ASA, and an exposure of 10 minutes at f/6.4.

M17 is in the constellation of Sagittarius. This nebula is commonly known as the Horseshoe Nebula.
